Cookies

This Cookies Policy explains how Swyft Software Limited, the company behind Oofly, uses cookies and similar technologies on oofly.app.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, remember your preferences, and give information to the site's owner. This policy also covers similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage.

2. Your Choice

When analytics are switched on for this website, we ask on your first visit whether you accept analytics and advertising cookies. Nothing optional is set until you say yes, and "Reject all" is as easy as "Accept all". Your choice is kept for six months, after which we ask again.

You can change your mind at any time: (also at the bottom of every page while analytics are switched on).

We use Google Consent Mode in its basic form: Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics are not loaded at all until you accept analytics or advertising cookies. A browser's Global Privacy Control signal is treated as a no to advertising.

3. Cookies We Use

Strictly necessary

These are needed for the site to work and cannot be switched off.

  • cc_cookie (this website, 6 months): remembers your cookie choices.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile (contact page only): checks that the contact form is used by a person, not an automated script. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
  • Portal sign-in (app.oofly.app only): the session and security tokens Microsoft sign-in needs when you sign in to the portal. These are not used on this website.

Preferences

  • oofly-theme (local storage, no expiry): remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. It never leaves your device, and clearing your browser's storage removes it.

Analytics (only with your consent)

Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, tells us how visitors use the site, such as which pages are read, so we can improve it. The data is aggregated, IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics, and the data is kept for 14 months.

  • _ga (Google, 2 years): tells visitors apart.
  • ga<container ID> (Google, 2 years): keeps the state of a visit.

Advertising (only with your consent)

Advertising is switched off on this website at present. If we switch it on, Google AdSense may show ads, and Google's own consent message, which is certified under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework, will ask for your choices first. These cookies may then be set:

  • _gcl_au (Google, 3 months): measures how adverts perform.
  • __gads, __gpi (Google, 13 months): show ads and limit how often you see them.
  • __eoi (Google, 6 months): helps prevent fraud and abuse.

Google acts as an independent controller for advertising cookies. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

4. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

You can also control and delete cookies through your browser settings: most browsers let you refuse cookies, delete those already stored, and browse privately. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop the contact form or the portal from working.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time, for example if we add or remove a service. The date of the latest revision is shown at the top of this page.

6. Contact

If you have questions about our use of cookies, please contact us. More about how we handle personal data is in our Privacy Policy.
